Which generation did you begin playing / liking Pokemon?

As the threat title claims, which generation did you begin playing or liking Pokemon? What game? How did you approach the game? Did you try to capture each Pokemon; or did you aim to beat the game as fast as possible?

I started in Gen I.And four gens later I still like it.

Generation 3. Best years of my life.

Generation 3, just those awesome days, I can feel it.

i stated in gen 2 then went back to gen1 then gen3 then normal orders after that i started out just playing now i try to get every pokemon

Good luck with getting however the heck many there are now.
